Is it true that Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 does not work on Windown XP?

That is what I have read…..Is it true? Coz,sincerely, mine does not on XP!
First I thought it is just a problem with my comp…but know I’ve read this..and that makes me unsure…Can you help please?
